PhD Candidate at the University of Iowa.
I graduated from Coastal Carolina University in May 2013, with two degrees in both Political Science and History. I am the current recipient of the Dean's Graduate Fellowship since 2013. My research and teaching interests focus on the study of American politics and political methodology, including state politics, legislatures, bureaucracy, and public opinion. My dissertation establishes a connection between the policy diffusion and political representation literature.
Currently I am working on a paper that uses policy diffusion to better understand the conditions under which states are responsive to public opinion.
